Kutsu is the Japanese word for shoes and the baby word is "koo koo." Whenever we say it's time to go and ask him to go put on his "koo koo," Kellan will make his way to the genkan (entrance way) as fast as he can and pick up his shoes. When he sees them he starts pointing and saying "koo koo," over and over until one of us puts them on him.
I often nurse Kellan in our big black leather chair in front of the computer. Just this last week Kellan has started to pat the black chair and say "dozo," ("here you are") when he wants to nurse.
