Hiromi and Toshi wanted to take some pictures of the boys to use as advertising for their photo studio. They bought a Carp (local baseball team) uniform for Jolon and a t-shirt for Kellan to wear. Jolon LOVES all things Carp, and the expression on his face when he had the uniform on complete with hat, glove, and bat was priceless. They also wore jinbei (Japanese summer suits for boys) with straw hats. Catching bugs in summer is one of those traditional Japanese summer activities, so Kellan carried a container for collecting bugs and Jolon a net for catching them.

Hilarious!! I can imagine Jolon was totally delighted with the Carps uniform--looked like a real baseball player from head to toe! He seemed quite a bit less excited over the summer suit Hiromi put on him next!! Nearly fell out of my chair laughing. He and Kellan looked like a picture straight out of my 4th grade geography book when we studied the chapter on China and Japan! That being said, they were adorable in both outfits! They would look cute in anything or nothing!! Grammy
